Holy crap but this is a blast from the past - 2003 ladies and gents!
Anyhow, as is probably rather obvious, this was a crossover between The Phantom of the Opera (combination of Leroux and ALW characters) and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It remains one of my favorite phanart works.
The characters I've employed are The Daroga, Erik the Phantom, Madame Giry, The Shade in the felt hat, and The Ratcatcher. Though I wasn't going for strict character transposition between the two books, Madame Giry can be said to inhabit the role of Mina Harker, and of course The Daroga is representative of Captain Nemo.
Size: 8.5 x 11 inches Medium: Pencil, ballpoint pen, Photoshop 7.0 Disclaimer: The Phantom of the Opera belongs to Gaston Leroux and to some extent to Andrew Lloyd Webber. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen belongs to Alan Moore. The photo used in the background is scanned from a book entitled 'The Paris Opera' by Moatti and Kahane.
